Man Kills His 83-year-old Mother For Preventing Him From Raping His Daughter [PHOTOS]

A 36-year-old man, Segun Odihiri, on Friday allegedly beheaded his 83-year-old mother, Maria Odihiri in Uzzeba, Owan West Local Government Area of Edo State.

Speaking with journalists, Uzzeba, an eyewitness, Ekemeiren Ojekhugbo, said Odihiri killed his mother for alerting the public while
attempting to rape his own daughter. The eyewitness said Odihiri was caught while he was trying to dispose the body of his late mother.

Ojekhugbo disclosed that the suspect had always threatened to kill his mother whenever there was a misunderstanding between them. According to Ojekhugbo, the suspect was arrested by youths and vigilantes and was taken to the Owan West Divisional Police Station in Sabongidda Ora.

He said, “Trouble started when Segun was about sleeping with his own daughter and his late mother caught him in the act and started screaming. In order to cover his shame, he took up a cutlass and cut off his mother’s head while the daughter ran for safety.

“Segun was caught by some youths who were not also spared as he injured two of them before he was eventually apprehended by the
vigilante members.”
