Hunters Slaughter 7 Boko Haram Militants In Adamawa
Hunters drafted to assist the military in the battle ground against insurgency have slaughtered seven Boko Haram militants at Makwan village in Madagali local government area of Adamawa state.
Residents, who witnessed the incident, said the militants of the Islamic death cult had attacked the village around 12 pm on Saturday, shooting sporadically while houses were set ablaze.
While this was going on, some fleeing residents alerted the hunters manning their duty post some kilometres away.
A moment later, the hunters, led by the commander of the Adamawa State Hunters Association, Bukar Jimeta, arrived the scene and engaged the attackers in a cross-fire – which lasted from 10pm to midnight on Saturday – forcing them to flee.
They eventually overpowered the terrorists resulting in the killing of seven. While one was caught alive with gunshot wounds others escaped into the bush.
