EFCC Arrests Former NNPC boss!

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested a former Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Andrew Yakubu. The anti-graft agency has equally arrested the chairman of Atlantic Energy Drilling Concepts Nigeria Limited, Jide Omokore.

It disclosed this in a statement, adding that the two would be charged on Monday before Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja on a four-count charge of money laundering.

Other defendants to the charge are: Victor Briggs, Abiye Memnere, David Mbanefo, Atlantic Energy Brass Development Limited and Atlantic Energy Drilling Concepts Limited.
