Jesus told his followers to "Enter through the narrow
gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and
many enter through it.” And I look at the churches today and wonder: Are they this
the narrow gate that Jesus talked about, that leads to life, and that few
people find? Or are they the broad gate and the wide road that reads to
destruction, that many enter through?
Look at Oyedepo’s assemblies, Adeboye’s nites, Oyakilome’s
outreaches, T.B. Joshua’s crusades or the Pope’s gatherings. And other preachers like them. Many many people
enter through their open wide gates and broad ways. These guys cannot in all
seriousness claim to belong to a narrow road, they just had to be that wide
gate and broad road. Nothing else is wider in this world. Even the blind can
see this. But then the Bible said that some have eyes, but they cannot see.
