So, as a true leader who wants things to work, he reached out to the past leaders of the union and extended his olive branch hoping everyone would come on board and move the union forward together. We (spectators) felt the 'war' was over and expected a fresh, clean air, but sadly, the canker-worm which has long eaten deep into the union is now Hydra-headed and hell bent on completely ruining the little image the union has managed to make. News reaching us now is that some of the past leaders are stolen valuable properties belonging to PMAN. These men include Teemac Omatsola, Kelvin Luciano and Murphy Van Anthony.
When we spoke to the current interim President on this messy situation, he expressed his displeasure detailing the rigors he went through to carry these men along, how he went severally to meet with Teemac, how he gave him his words to release the properties for the use of the union and fully support his interim government only for him to turn round weeks after and falter on the agreement they had.
His words... ' After I met with him, he confessed that the union has 3.5 acres of land in Abuja remaining', which means they have even sold some parts of the land as the total of acres given to the union was about 8.5 acres originally. But then, I even didn't mind and I told him to please release the remaining parcels of land so I could show it to the union members and pressmen so people can start believing in the union again. The most painful part is these men have defrauded PMAN hundreds of millions of naira in the past, and squandered all the properties and only asked to release the crumbs theyconfess to have left, but now they are on the run."
"I have sent out demand letters to both Teemac and Kelvin Luciano, because at this juncture, we have to allow the law to take their cause but we are still awaiting responses from them."
However, Pretty Okafor says what he is doing can be termed 'structural revolution' and either they like it or not, it is going to happen because he believes it has been destined to happen, a change that has come to stay.
He also stated categorically that he is here (with PMAN) to do a job, so even when they try to create crisis where there is none in order to distract me won't save them. This is a change that is bound to happen no matter how hard they try!
He was excited to state that he would soon be giving an account of his 100 days in office and unveil all the measures he has put in place at ensuring he leaves Nigerian artistes both the popular and upcoming ones better than he met them.
According to the copy of the letter obtained by Paragon addressed to Kelvin Luciano, he was asked to stop parading himself as a PMAN official and charged to return/handover all the PMAN's propertlies, documents of titles and also asked to account for all the funds of the union with him. Teemac is also tasked to hand over PMAN's certificate of occupancy to the landed properties of the union running into billions of naira situated in Abuja.
With these past presidents sabotaging the new President's efforts at bringing peace, unity, oneness and development to the party, how can they move forward?
We shall keep you updated as situation unfolds.
